Park Design |
|
The dog park design was created by LGA, an architectural firm under the leadership of Leonard Grant, based in Pismo Beach. LGA's staff is recruited exclusively from nationally acclaimed architecture schools throughout the country and includes many graduates from the program at California Polytechnic University (Cal Poly), San Luis Obispo. The dog park design includes a fenced 3/4 acre area adjacent to an existing parking lot in a residential neighborhood. The fencing will consist of post and rail construction to a height not to exceed 5’. The ground cover has not been determined at this point. Drought tolerant trees and shrubs will be planted on the park perimeter to provide view screening for the neighborhood. The plan provides for a future playground if funding should become available. A wildflower garden is proposed for the area adjacent to the dog park.
